I 1CCed Terarin's Blaze of Storm on Normal tonight on my first playthrough. I did the caravan mode first and then took on the arcade challenge. His bosses have improved greatly since Raging Blasters, as have his art skills.
Blaze of Storm is stylish and relentless. There's often no downtime and it almost feels like a boss rush in a lot of ways. Each boss manages to be unique even while there are so many of them. The weapon drops are plentiful, maybe even too plentiful.
While I enjoyed the game, I wish it had some slower moments. It's also impossible to not compare it to Raging Blasters, which I had to work to clear over about a week rather.
I want to play it on the Hard difficulty and see how that feels. To revisit the bosses would be fun too.
5 minutes in a lot of ways feels too long for a caravan mode. I think 3 mins is the sweet spot.
But, regardless, Terarin continues to make great shmups and I am glad to get to play them.
